The Swimming Dog

Jerry had dropped me off at the park and left me there with Parsons and then he went home and got Cooper and they walked back to the park.  The training book I am using said that is the best way to have the older pup meet the new pup - on mutual ground.  While we were there a pretty white dog came along running.  He had a collar but not tag.  A thing I see a lot unfortunately. He was very friendly.  He greeted Cooper and then checked the baby out in the stroller.  He started following us home.  When we came upon the lake he took off running.  He jumped in so fast it was funny.  He chased the ducks. After they flew away he started swimming back.  About the time he got out a lady came along and said she was his owner.  She said she couldn't believe he had gotten in the lake as he hated water.  Well, you couldn't tell by what we saw.  He loved it!

Day Two

Wow! That didn't take long.  Parsons just cozied on over to Cooper while she was asleep and nothing happened!  She has really been good with Parsons which everyone finds hard to believe.  I'm trying not to get my hopes up as I'm sure it's not going to be smooth sailing the whole way through, Cooper is 10 years old, so I'm sure it will take some adjusting for her.

Parsons came home on Friday, March 5th, 2011. We were so excited to finally bring her home. We had been waiting for her for quite some time. She was due to be born on January 01, 2011, but didn't enter the universe until January 08, 2011.
